THESE ARE RERUN PROGRAMS. THERE IS NOTHING NEW AS JENNIFER PATERSON DID PASS AWAY IN 1999.

SO WHAT that they are reruns, I say also! You are obviously missing the point! I loved them; we all loved them. They were so funny and I did cook some of the dishes, which were wonderful. I for one am glad the shows are being rerun. I guess you also complain about reruns of Julia Child shows?!

It is so cool that you are discussing this. My preferred opening sequence is the animation. It did a wonderful job of providing you with a glimpse of what you might catch in any one of their episodes from ingredients, to game hunting to their ubiquitous motorcycle.

I have so many favorite episodes which almost always featured one of Jennifer's recollections of her youth. However, my favorite closing moment was one in which they toasted "The Almighty" after another succesful meal, in this case, at a rectory in London. What wonderful and intelligent and very British pair of women these two were.

so the new food network would rather have a show of reruns than have a show for vegetarians/vegans awesome….

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

I was sad not to find the 2 back-to-back episodes on tonight (8/27/11)…..especially since this is the only viewing of the show each week – that I'm aware of ;-( I really do look forward to watching each week and regardless…. if it's an episode I've already seen…. I still watch and enjoy!!
I've never seen the "in the flesh" intro – that's awesome! I read some bio info on the TWO FAT LADIES here on line and find them quite interesting. Also note that Clarissa has written books and done some other adventures since the sad passing of Jennifer…R.I.P. Love the TWO FAT LADIES, so please keep 'em coming!!!!

When I saw that the Two Fat Ladies was not airing tonite (8/27/11) and being replaced by a pizza program, I was very saddened. I immediately thought that the Cooking Channel was going to go down the drain just as the Food Network channel has. Great programs are being aired and then replaced with pathetic cake, cupcake, dinners and dives (or whatever that Guy F program is). It doesn't matter how many different named programs Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray, Guy and Giada have, they are still the same old boring egotistical individuals. I no longer watch that channel. The Two Fat Ladies reruns, no matter how many times I have seen them, are refreshing and entertaining, just as Julia Child's are. Please bring them back on the air. Why try to fix something when it ain't broke??

I was so disappointed to see that the "Two Fat Ladies" were not on the Cooking Channel last night; they have become a delightful ritual in this household every week. So glad to see that they we will be back on next Saturday night 9/3.

  15. Gail posted 08/29/2011

When I returned from vacation I was sooooo disappointed that they were not on at the usual Saturday night spot–cannot wait for their return–hopefully with some new episodes.

I have loved watching the ladies for years Jennifer reminds me of my own mother who passed away in 2010 she has the same who gives a fart personality.

  20. Karen posted 12/27/2011

Jennifer who died of lung cancer had Clarissa smuggle in tots of gin whilst she was in hospital at the end. Clarissa, a recovering alcoholic, did so. Read her biography. Great book.

My brother introduced me to this show ears ago. I just fell in love with them and am so happy The Cooking Channel has brought them back. Here are two beautiful ladies with kindness in their faces and and grace in their hearts. Yes, Jennifer is gone but will always be in our hearts.
I have taken some of their baking recipes, made sme adjustments and really enjoy them.

    Two Fat Ladies rock on..

    And thankyou Cooking Channel.

"Rather than have a show for vegans…."? What makes you think one preempts the other? Truth? Too few vegans watching TV to make it worthwhile.

I first caught these shows on my local PBS station. I fell in love with this show and both of Jennifer and Clarissa. I introduced my husband to be to the show and he loves it as well. The animation is terrific. Though I didn't know that Jennifer had passed . I will still love and enjoy these shows. Long live "Two Fat Ladies"
