We’ve been busy bees prepping for Cooking Channel’s on-air and online launches, but still found a little time recently to celebrate our new network. We hope you’re as excited about it as we are.

"Spice Goddess" Bal Arneson and Cooking Channel General Manager Michael Smith
At our in-house launch party, a lovely 3 p.m. workday break, we mingled with new talent, scored cool Cooking Channel t-shirts, and naturally, enjoyed some snacks and bubbly.

Darryl Robinson of Drink Up, Food Network's Susie Fogelson and David Rocco of David Rocco's Dolce Vita
A packed room of food-lovers raved over People’s Pops in flavors like Spiced Rhubarb and Raspberry Basil. The refreshing popsicles came from a new vendor in Chelsea Market, Cooking Channel’s New York home. We also munched on gourmet chocolate bars with nifty Cooking Channel wrappers.

The nighttime fete was held at the swanky Empire Hotel (though in real life, it’s not owned by Chuck Bass of Gossip Girl). New Cooking Channel stars hung out on the pool deck, got to know each other and showed off their food-centric body art.
The real party started over the weekend, when Cooking Channel launched on your TV. Keep checking in at the brand-new cookingchanneltv.com to keep current on cool updates, programming news and recipes from Cooking Channel.
How did you celebrate the long weekend?
