Cooking Channel Ice Cream Truck Heads for Atlantic City

By: Frank Samperi
Cooking Channel Ice Cream Truck hands out free scoops.

Have you been following the Ice Cream Truck's tasty trail this summer? — New York City, Brooklyn, Boston, Annapolis, Atlanta, Nashville, Cincinnati, Philadelphia.

Each stop has been a chance to meet all of you: the excited, passionate food people who are hungry for more. (Especially for more free ice cream.)

Next stop: Atlantic City!

This weekend the Ice Cream Truck will be setting up shop at the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival. There are a ton of really cool ticketed events — a Dim Sum Brunch, Conde Nast Traveler's Taste the World, In the Kitchen with Ching-He Huang, a Farm-to-Table Brunch, Super Suds: Tastes and Trends in Artisan Beer (how cool does that sound?) — but it's free to just show up, take a tour of the boardwalk, and get some sweet, frozen goodness from the Cooking Channel Ice Cream Truck.

We're happy to partner with local favorite Springer’s Homemade Ice Cream who's been serving super-premium homemade ice cream to locals and vacationers at the Jersey Shore for over 80 years. This weekend, you can taste some of their most delicious flavors for FREE on Sat 11am-7pm and Sun 12-4pm, including Fresh Peach, Cookie Munster Bananas Foster, and Lucy’s Limeade Sorbet.

What's MORE is you can meet Cooking Channel chefs just for hanging around eating ice cream!

Saturday, July 31
11am-1pm: Ching-He Huang of Chinese Food Made Easy

1-3pm: Darryl Robinson of Drink Up

4-6pm: Roger Mooking of Everyday Exotic
Sunday, August 1
