Tune In to The Urban Grocer

Caitlin Zaino, aka The Urban Grocer, takes us on a tour of the best, freshest food spots in Buenos Aires, Argentina, tonight on the Cooking Channel. Tune in as she explores the boundless imagination and dynamic, young spirit that are re-inventing cuisine in this South American city.

Caitlin began her lifelong love affair with food in her Italian grandmother’s kitchen where she developed a passion for cooking, and cooking well. A young, enthusiastic foodie, she was frustrated by the lack of food media that focused on the exciting, inventive foodstuffs she was experiencing around the world. And so her online magazine The Urban Grocer was born.

Caitlin and her growing team of contributors scour the globe’s hippest cities hunting for the most cutting-edge, knockout eats and more, from the posh to the underground, the spectacular to the gritty. With a strong design aesthetic, The Urban Grocer showcases the intersection of art and gastronomy, and uses food as a medium for immersing in cultures and cities worldwide.

Tonight, Caitlin takes us on a personal culinary tour of Buenos Aires. Her mission is to capture the heart and soul of the new generation that is leading the way in nouveau Argentine food- to find out what they care about and to discover how the city's history informs the way the they are now defining its future.

Tune in to The Urban Grocer tonight at 8 p.m. And be sure to follow along with Caitlin and Cooking Channel as they live tweet during the premiere with the hashtag #TheUrbanGrocer.

And in case you want to take away your own Argentine eats, Caitlin offers her top spots around the country for the best meat, dulce de leche ice cream, hearty Argentine wines, and more.
