Thirsty Thursday: Get Down with a Zombie Cocktail

By: Roberto Ferdman

It’s more than just alliteration; it’s a statement, a proclamation that Thursdays are when the weekend should really start. Kicking it off right is the key, and what better way than with a cocktail that not only takes the edge off, but tastes good too. Last week we stirred up an October-inspired Black Devil Martinithis week we’re back with something even spookier for you to sip on.

While jack-o-lanterns, skeletons and spider webs find their way into (and onto) homes around the country, up your Halloween game this year with some zombie-inspired imbibing. Orange juice, apricot brandy and a dash of grenadine give this ghastly cocktail its eerie, October-appropriate hue, and three types of rum vow to work wonders in the late afternoon, evening or nighttime. So pour yourself a glass, or make it a pitcher if you're hosting friends. Bottoms up, folks.
