Break out of the "cereal for breakfast" rut. Start the day strong with a healthy breakfast, and it’s sure to set the tone for any and everything you may tackle throughout the day. Eating things like eggs, fruit, granola and whole wheat keeps your stomach full longer while revving your metabolism for the day ahead.

Start by making Bobby Deen’s Blueberry-Almond Griddle Cakes (pictured above) with whole-wheat flower and antioxidant rich blueberries. Finish with a dribble of maple syrup and some sliced toasted almonds.
