There’s something about salted rims that invites us to plunge happily into glasses filled to the brim with tequila, sugar and lime. Get ready for your Cinco de Mayo celebration by trying your hand at a classic and perfectly balanced margarita.

Classic Margarita
1 serving
Ingredients:
1-1/2 oz. silver tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
splash simple syrup
salt rim
Tools:
shaker
citrus squeezer
salted rocks glass
strainer
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake until cold and strain into a chilled salt-rimmed glass.
