Make this the summer you re-discover Jell-O (What could be more fun?) with the help of blogger and Jell-O Mold Mistress Victoria Belanger and her new cookbook, Hello, Jell-O!:50+ Inventive Recipes for Gelatin Treats and Jiggly Sweets. With creative flavor combinations, the addition of cream or fresh fruit, layered effects and sometimes a little alcohol, Victoria has successfully reinvented the nostalgic Jell-O of your childhood into dinner party/get-together fare that’s sure to impress.

Victoria begins Hello, Jell-O! with some essential tips and techniques, and then divides the book into styles of Jell-O molds, from “Creamy and Dreamy” and “Boozy Molds” to “Seasonal Holiday Molds.” There’s a Jell-O recipe for every occasion, and your next grill out or summer bash is the perfect place to start.

Pistachio Jell-O pudding mix, mixed with a small can of crushed pineapple with the juice, a whole tub of cool whip, a bag of mini marsh-mellows, chopped walnuts, and maraschino cherries, yum! THE BEST!

My favorite flavor is lime! My signature party treat – Margarita Jello Cordials (okay, they're really Jello shots). Lime Jello, tequila, and a splash each of Triple Sec and sour mix. Yum!

I am having trouble desiding which flavor I like best. I use lemon flavor to bake both a pie and a cake. But I like both wild strawberry and black cherry to eat with whipped cream. So I guess all three are my favor ones. But I forgot lime jello and pineapple and cream cheese and pecans. And strawberry and ice cream together with a dab of whipped cream. Oh just too many to mention. They all are great just plain too. Can you tell I like jello?
