Celebrate the end of a long day, beginning of a great weekend and start of something new — your imminent addiction to this French Margarita. This Saturday is French National Day — otherwise known as Bastille Day, the perfect time to meet one of our favorite fancied-up summer drinks. If you relish in the occasional tequila-based cocktail, wait ’til you taste what Grand Marnier and Chambord bring to the party.
Bottoms up, folks.
Ingredients:
2 oz tequila
1 oz. Grand Marnier
1/2 oz. each lime juice, orange juice, sweet and sour mix
1 oz. Chambord
Garnish: skewer of raspberries and blackberries
Directions:
Pour tequila into a 12-ounce glass. Add Grand Marnier. Pour in lime juice, orange juice and sweet and sour mix. Cover the glass firmly with a cocktail shaker and shake to mix the ingredients.
Fill a margarita glass with ice, then pour the mixture into the glass, using a strainer to keep the ice out of the glass. Top with Chambord. Garnish with a skewer of two blackberries and one raspberry (or vice versa).
