Cooking Channel’s Summer Eats Pop Up rolled into Chicago this past weekend. We set up shop on Oak Street Beach, a beautiful beach located on the lake front with the Chicago skyline rising up in the background. Though we were greeted by stormy weather, the sky cleared up just in time for the event, and Chicagoans were able to sit back and enjoy good food and drinks, meet two of the newest Cooking Channel hosts and listen to live music while watching the sunset over Lake Michigan.
Check out more photos from the event after the jump.

Chef G. Garvin, host of Cooking Channel's Road Trip with G. Garvin, was on hand to meet fans.

Cooking Channel-themed sunglasses were a popular giveaway at the event.

Baron Ambrosia, host of The Culinary Adventures of Baron Ambrosia, wasn't bothered by the heat and rocked a three piece suit at the event.

The local flavor for the event was the baja poutine that's always served at Oak Street Beach.

The event featured wines from Food Network's entwine line as well as a beer selection from Sweet Water Brewing Co.

Guests were able to sit back and enjoy the tunes of the Brooklyn-based band Carousel.

The city of Chicago provided a beautiful backdrop for the event.

If you are ever in Chicago, Oak St. Beach should definitely be on your to-do list (provided it's the summer months).
