From a Chicago man, in my opinion if you wanna do Chicago deep dish right, then all those ingredients gotta go under the sauce but looks amazing and tasty otherwise. Always love seeing a new recipe to try = )
This was easy and tasty. My only issues are that my marinara was a little watery, so I need to figure out how to deal with that, the onions aren't cooking properly so they still have a bit of that 'raw' taste and getting the dough to cover the entire pan. I'm using a cast-iron skillet and getting the dough to evenly cover the pan is a challenge. Other than that (and these are all issues with my cooking skill and not with the recipe), this is a great and handy recipe to have. 30 minutes of prep time, 30 minutes to cook.
I would love a recipe for homemade pizza dough. The store bought one I used is problematic and not tasty. But I love this recipe anyways
its better to just go to any kind of pizzeria and just buy dough there. it should only cost about 2-3 dollars for fresh homemade pizza dough
