You don’t have to love camping to appreciate the beauty of a s’more. This classic campfire treat, featuring a flame-roasted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate pressed between two graham cracker squares, is ooey, gooey and undeniably delicious. It’s also guaranteed to be messy— but worth every bug bite you acquire while chowing down.
Rumor has it the Camp Fire Girls created the version we’re familiar with today, but it was the Girl Scouts that made it official in 1927, when a s’more recipe ran in the organization’s handbook. (As if Thin Mints weren’t contribution enough!)
