So let’s say you just didn’t get to the store in time to nab a turkey, or perhaps you accidentally set your broccoli gratin on fire. You and your family are gonna need to eat out. The only problem? Many restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving and the few that are opened probably required reservations months ago. Fear not, intrepid holiday diner. You should be able to find a spot at many eateries who not only open their doors on this sacred day, but even offer up some great specials. Here are some places to get grub on Thanksgiving day.
Boston Market – Boston Market offers Thanksgiving food year-round so there is no way they’d miss this opportunity. The chain is open for both dine-in and take-out all day.
Cracker Barrel – The ubiquitous “right off the highway” chain will be opening at 11 AM and serving a special Thanksgiving menu all day. Kids eat for under $5!
Golden Corral – Get your all-you-can-eat on with a $13 Thanksgiving buffet at each participating location. Call your nearest location for the hours.
Popeye’s Chicken – Sure, it may not be the classiest option but Popeye’s is offering up a 10 pound “Cajun” turkey, with all the fixings, for just $40.
Denny’s – Denny’s never closes and Thanksgiving is no exception. In addition to their regular menu, they will also be serving up a turkey and dressing dinner.
Ruth’s Chris – A good steakhouse is not just the place you bring your parents when they visit, it’s also the place you sit down for a Southern-inspired Thanksgiving meal. $36 for adults and $13 for kids.
TGI Friday’s – As long as football is playing somewhere on a television, TGI Friday’s will be there to serve you nachos while you watch it. They’ll be offering up a special game-day menu tomorrow along with half-off appetizers.
Maggiano’s – Combine the best of both worlds at this popular Italian eatery. They are offering a full Thanksgiving spread, along with pasta and everything else they are famous for. $37 for adults. $18 for kids.
