By far, the most common question we get asked is whether Josh is able to be on the farm full time yet.
The answer to that is … no.
Like many entrepreneurs, we were grossly delusional when estimating how quickly the business would grow.
Even when calculating in the capital investments in starting a farm or the ongoing recession, we never considered that our “year of sacrifice” would stretch into five.
The health center project that was supposed to happen in Sharon Springs unfortunately never materialized, so Josh continues to work in the city. We continue to work towards the goal of our “rural reunion” and get closer every single day.
So for all of you who wonder what has happened since we left you at the end of Season 2 of The Fabulous Beekman Boys, life goes on.
But you haven’t missed that much (yet).

Guys, I've kept up to date as best I can on what is going on through your appearances on the Derek and Romaine show. I know that you want ratings to go high on the cooking channel to help bolster the chances for a season 3, but we had to cut subscription TV due to financial issues. $140/month was just not feasible. We did, however buy season 2 from Amazon streaming to show our love to you guys, Farmer John and Polka… Please, Please, Please find your way back to our tee-vee for season 3. The Amazing Race is nearing an end and we miss the Fabulous Beekman Boys on their Sharon Springs Farm…
Guys I feel your pain. We started a farm in 2005 and are still trying to get it to the point were it at least pays the taxes and my wife could quit her job. So keep up the fight it will eventually happen, it just seems to take to long sometimes. Hopefully there will be a Season 3, and we will be watching.
Just hoping you guys will get a season 3, I watched every episode of this season on the cooking channel, at 10 pm then again when it aired at 2am. Hard to stay awake, but it was just so nice to see you guys again. I could watch reruns of your shows every day, I never grow tired of the farm life. Looking forward to any books you write, cookbooks and whatever else that talks about life in Sharon Springs!
Also wishing for the best for Farmer John, it was nice to see him, we did get out to the Harvest Fest and a farm tour in 2012, nice to meet Farmer John, he is a gentle man and like me, loves his goats. I also have a farm, mostly goats, so your show is very special to our house!
Despite owning all the episodes (through Amazon), I love this show so much that I have been recording season 2 on The Cooking Channel. I watch it as it airs by myself, then later with my husband and kids (they go to bed by 9…even hubby!). There aren't too many shows around today that feature hard work, tolerance, love, dedication, and fun. Here's hoping for a SEASON 3!

I remember the first time I ever watched the Beekman Boys & I have been hooked since day one. I love the show, seeing the goats & also seeing a couple that loves each other no matter what. My boyfriend & I have our own business here in ohio since 2007 & its definitely been an uphill battle. But with love & determnation anything is possible. I would LOVE to see a Season 3. Love you guy!!

I feel like we have missed a lot and I hope you bring us up to date with a season 3. I want to know how you came to develop some of your new products, like the Blaack Drizzle, Mubock, the story of the hives and how you produce the honey and the creation of the wall, and how you ended up on the Amazing Race, and what Brent is doing with the Polka Spot comic, and how Farmer John and the Goats are, and if he has lost any more of his older goats since Dolly, and what happened to the sheep, and if any new animals have been added, and that is just to bring us up to the present, plus things we don't even know about that have changed. Then for things that have not happed yet like The Wedding, when Brent will get a dog (also on MY wish list), the goal of getting Josh to the farm, if not full time at least more than just weekends… ARE YOU LISTENING COOKING CHANNEL?
