Yelp can tell us a lot about about our neighborhood’s eateries: Their hours, what their food looks like and what some random dude with too much time on his hands thinks about their waitstaff. What Yelp has been unable to show, until now, is a restaurant’s health-inspection grade.
The site has announced it has unveiled a new system that will do just that. It’ll soon be rolled out in San Francisco and New York City, with more cities to follow. Any incentive for restaurants to keep clean is fantastic in our books. Although, there’s nothing wrong with heading to a greasy spoon with a “C” grade once in awhile. Mmm, cheese fries.
