Restaurant Makes a Box of Chocolates in Your Likeness

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Why not surprise the special someone in your life with chocolates that are shaped like a horrifying version of the one you love? That’s what one cafe in Japan is trying and we can only hope it catches on in the States.

Here’s how it works. You head to FabCafe, a restaurant in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, and get a scan of your face. The wizards in the kitchen then turn that scan into a box of chocolates that bear your likeness. Also, just to reiterate, the faces look like a somewhat horrifying version of yourself. How romantic!

A box of face chocolates will set you back around $68 and, of course, are available only in Japan. Until this technology flies across the pond, it looks like we’ll be stuck with boring old Whitman’s Sampler boxes.
