Lighter Buffalo Wings with Tangy Cheese Dip
According to the National Chicken Council, we are in the midst of a bona fide wing shortage. This is due to a number of factors, but the council mostly lays the blame on rising corn prices. Corn is the main ingredient in chicken feed and, well, you can figure out the rest. All told the council says we could be staring down a wing shortage to the tune of 12.3 million delectable, blue cheese-drenched wings.
All is not lost, however. Some are saying the council’s study is full of hot air, and corn prices will go back to normal as soon as so much of it stops being used for ethanol production.
