Though there's been plenty of snow and cold weather these days, there have also been moments where the sun peaks through, reminding us that spring will be here soon enough. We're daydreaming about the days of picnics, strolling and partying under the stars, so we've picked out our top 10 favorite hotel rooftop bars across the states. Many are open now, so they can hold you over till the warm weather means they all open their doors.

The Rooftop is a stylish bar that doubles as a nightlife hotspot. Located 18 stories above the beach, it offers amazing ocean views and a gorgeous pool with plush lounge chairs, private cabanas and bar service. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset, but the cocktails are killer, too.

The Rooftop is one of the staples of the Manhattan nightlife in the warmer months. Located on the 12th floor of The Empire Hotel, this is a popular but still down-to-earth spot to get a drink with friends. It offers stunning views of Lincoln Center and tasty cocktails in a large open space with comfy seating and plants.

The ABH is an exclusive poolside bar open only seasonally to hotel guests and club members. It offers an intimate setting for a drink, and great views of Beverly Hills and beyond. VIP areas can be reserved for added privacy, and heat lamps are provided for cooler nights.

Few bars in Vegas boast the phenomenal views the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub offers. Located 51 stories above the hectic city, this double-decker club is a nightlife hotspot in the off-Strip area. There are nightly DJ sessions, a great cocktail menu\ and VIP bottle service available.

The nightlife spots at this W are some of the most popular in the area but our favorite one is the Living Room Terrace, which boasts great ocean views, large, comfy seating and a casual atmosphere. It serves cocktails and light fare, and has DJ sessions every week. It’s open until 2 a.m. daily.

The Rocks on the Roof, set above an 18th century cobblestone street along the Savannah River, is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike. It is a casual pick for tapas, live entertainment and spectacular views, plus it has an indoor area for the cooler nights.

Although the Gramercy Park Hotel's Gramercy Terrace competes with the uber-hip Rose Bar downstairs, it's the place to be in warmer weather. The strings of lights and crawling green vines make it feel like you've entered a fairyland after dark, but it is also a popular spot for watching the sunset, drink in hand.

A wonderful ocean view, great cocktails and a fun, laid-back vibe is what make Suite 700 a must in Santa Monica. The hotel's nautical theme extends here, with art deco furniture that recalls ocean liners of yore and sweeping views of the Pacific and Santa Monica's beach and pier.

Float is one of the most popular nightlife spots in the Gaslamp Quarter. It’s a stylish poolside lounge with fire pits, private cabanas and nightly DJ sessions. This is a year-round hotspot, but Intervention Sundays at Float (in the summer only) are some of the wildest parties in town.

If it’s gorgeous city views you’re looking for, head to Decca Restaurant and Bar. While food is pretty unexceptional (especially for the price), the vistas you get from the elegant cream-colored couches are hard to beat. The clientele is mostly upscale travelers and middle-aged couples, and the vibe is sophisticated but relaxed.
