A New Tablet Designed for Cooks

Tablets like the iPad and Google's Nexus line have become ubiquitous in recent years. They are pretty much everything to everyone, offering a range of apps that let you fling disgruntled birds into pigs. Sure, there are plenty of apps designed with the chef in mind, but there has never been an entire tablet dedicated to culinary pursuits. That is, until now.

Introducing the appropriately named ChefPad, developed by ARCHOS. What makes this Android-powered tablet so chef-tastic? It comes preloaded with a full range of kitchen-friendly apps. It also features a rugged silicone case designed with the messy cook in mind. Go ahead, crack an egg on it. We dare you.

Otherwise the ChefPad is just your garden variety tablet with decent specs, clocking in with a dual core 1.6 GHz processor and a quad core GPU. It'll be available in June for around $200, which is about ten tins of homemade lasagna.
