This Molecular Gastronomy Kit Lets You Conduct Edible Science Experiments

Molecular gastronomy is not just that one thing the quirky dude is into on every season of Top Chef. It's beginning to gain traction in many of the world's top restaurants. After all, it's fun to mess with ingredients in new ways just to see what will happen. The only drawback? Many of the tools needed to create quality meals using these methods can be murder on your wallet. That is, until now.

Spanish chefs Albert and Ferran Adrià have released four molecular gastronomy kits meant for home use. These kits contain everything you need to make a variety of experimental staples, including both tools and ingredients. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at making flavored air? Then scoop up the Cuisine box. What about that globular mousse you keep hearing about? Pick up the Spherification box.

The kits were just made available to consumers and, even though they are based in Spain, they will ship worldwide. Each of the four varieties will set you back around $92.
