Thirsty Thursday: Basil Berry Cocktail


It’s more than just alliteration; it’s a statement, a proclamation that Thursdays are when the weekend should really start. Kicking it off right is the key, and what better way than with a cocktail that not only takes the edge off, but tastes good too. A hard thing to disagree with, we know. Drink up, get down and go to sleep happy.

As soon as birds chirp and flowers bloom, the scent of spring is in the air. With a huge sigh of relief, we can throw open a window and enjoy the gentle breeze, preferably with a cocktail in hand. Pop open a bottle of chilled, fizzy lambrusco for this Basil Berry Cocktail that mimics spring’s crisp and refreshing air.

This spring-centric cocktail is comprised of muddled fresh basil and strawberries topped with a bit of bubbly. The herbaceous and fruity notes in this cocktail reminds us of the warmer days to come.

Bottoms up, folks!

Basil Berry Cocktail

Ingredients:
  • 3 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 strawberries
  • 4 ounces white lambrusco, or other sweet sparkling white wine
Directions:
Coarsely chop 2 basil leaves and the strawberries, and then muddle in the bottom of a glass. Place the muddled ingredients to a champagne flute, and top with lambrusco. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf.

    I believe know-how just causes it to be even worse. Now there is a channel to under no circumstances treatment, now there would not be a prospect for them to discover….
