Just like Yardbird, Swine takes all of the wonderful things about southern cooking and steps it up. The space, the smells and the whisky all create a fantastic experience that you’re going to have a hard time finding anywhere else in Miami. Swine is located in Coral Gables, right off of Miracle Mile, making it a great spot to visit after doing some shopping.

Batch can be found in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Brickell. The atmosphere and locally sourced menu is casual and great for friends, families and dates. I loved learning about the cocktails on tap, because it’s something you never see. Batch Gastropub will only grow and get better, just like Brickell.

Pubbelly Sushi is a unique combination of a gastropub and a sushi joint in Miami Beach. They focus on a relaxed atmosphere with brick walls, graffiti, craft beer and creative cocktails. Unique Southern-inspired sushi rolls include their pork belly and clams roll with barbecue sauce and soft-shell crab BLT roll with (you guessed it) bacon.

When he’s not saving lives, Fireman Derek is winning people over with his desserts. His food truck can be found all over the city. His famous Key lime pie, Oreo cheesecake and seasonal favorites like pumpkin cheesecake have all of Miami praising him.

The Peacock Garden Cafe is everything you would hope for in a Miami brunch. Located in the trendy neighborhood of Coconut Grove, it’s a great spot to have brunch outdoors. People love Chef Oscar del Rivero’s sunny-side up flatbread and chicken pot pie.
