Blueberries are at the height of their season on the East Coast, which means whether you’re picking them from your backyard or the local farmer’s market, it’s time to stock up.

Small but mighty, blueberries are packed with antioxidants, and vitamins C and K. Utilize these sweet treats year-round by freezing them or by canning homemade blueberry jam (pictured above). For more information on your favorite summertime berry check out this Cooking Channel video on blueberries or just get straight to cooking with these 25 ways.

  1. Blueberry pancake options for everyone: Blueberry Pancakes, Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes with Blueberry Sauce, and Blueberry Buckwheat Pancakes.
  2. If you’re making blueberry pancakes, it just makes sense to serve them with two-ingredient Blueberry Syrup for Pancakes.
  3. Blueberry Breakfast Bars are the kind of breakfast you dream about, tons of flavor, whole grains and you can even take them on the go! Rye flakes are a breakfast cereal made by rolling whole-grain rye flat. If you can’t find rye flakes in the health food section of your grocery store, replace them with more oats.
  4. For when you’ve stockpiled an absurd amount of blueberries at the farmer’s market, Blueberry Pie can help.
  5. Or if you prefer your baked goods to only have a bottom crust, there is Fresh Blueberry Tart.
  6. Ellie Krieger’s three-ingredient Blueberry Compote is the perfect condiment for breakfast; top scones, pancakes and even waffles with the stuff.
  7. Laura Calder’s Blueberry Grumble is topped with oats, ground almonds and brown sugar, all held together by butter. Let the blueberries stand on their own or add in a little cinnamon or ginger to flavor the filling.

  1. Clafouti is a French dessert, somewhere between a custard and a cake. Although the traditional dessert is made with cherries, Blueberry Clafouti showcases summer’s bounty.
  2. Pavlova is an egg white meringue, named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova. Mash blueberries into a whipped cream topping for Blueberry Pavlova and sprinkle a few over the top to garnish.
  3. Go for the classic breakfast staple Blueberry Muffins or step up your muffin game with Matt’s Lemon Blueberry Muffins.
  4. Freeze fresh blueberries and swap out the ice cubes for a less watered-down smoothie.
  5. Cobblers, deep-dish pies made with a sweet biscuit crust, are a staple in the US South, normally made with whatever fruit is in season. Serve Michael Symon’s Cast-Iron Blueberry Cobbler with some vanilla ice cream for a delicious treat.
  6. Slow Cooker Blueberry Butter will keep the house cool while you preserve the last bit of summer.
  7. Blintzes are thin pancakes (crepes) stuffed with either cheese or fruit, normally served as a breakfast. Tyler Florence’s Blueberry Blintzes are stuffed with sweet ricotta-cream cheese filling and topped with blueberry sauce.

  2. Robert Irvine’s Blueberry Scones are a simple weekend breakfast idea. Be careful to not over-mix the dough, or the scones will turn out tough.
  3. Mix the best of late summer and early fall produce with Apple and Blueberry Hand Pies. Frozen puff pastry cuts down on your prep time, and these hand pies will be ready to eat in under an hour.
  4. Use Orange Blueberry Marmalade, made extra flavorful with orange and lemon zest, to top all of your weekend baking projects. Use fruit pectin to thicken up the marmalade.
  5. Ellie Krieger lightens up Blueberry Coffee Cake with whole wheat flour, nonfat yogurt and canola oil.

  • Brooklyn Farmacy’s Blueberry Egg Cream, a grown up version of the childhood favorite, takes everything you love about egg creams and adds fresh blueberry and lavender syrup to it.
  • Bobby Flay adds lots of flavor to his Citrus Blueberry Salad with toasted almonds, fresh mint and ginger.
  • Duff Goldman uses a combination of all-purpose flour and cake flour for his Blueberry Greek Old-Fashioned Doughnuts. Cake flour has less protein that all-purpose flour and is extra finely ground, which makes for silkier, smoother cakes and cookies.More 25 Ways:
