Good Eats Premieres Tonight on Cooking Channel

Are you a Good Eats fan? (The odds are actually pretty high.) If so, we have some good news

Good Eats is premiering on Cooking Channel tonight at 8pm eastern / 7pm central.  Each Friday, we’ll air four Good Eats episodes, back to back, about a certain cooking theme.

This Friday night it’s Breakfast:

And Friday afterward, tune in for Good Eats episodes on Italian, Grilling, Seafood, Dessert … the list goes on! And if you’re out and about on Friday night, no worries!  You can catch the episodes again on Wednesdays.

Cooking Channel Treat Truck Hits West Coast with Special Guests

What does Chuck do on his day off?  Eat ice cream, of course.

Cooking Channel’s Frozen Treat Truck hits the west coast this week, with a couple surprise guests in tow. Chuck Hughes from Chuck’s Day Off, Jeffrey Saad from United Tastes of America, and Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos from Extra Virgin will make special appearances to taste the local ice cream flavors, and meet you, the fans!

A Cocktail: Your Crucial Ingredient to Summer Entertaining

You really can’t beat entertaining in the summertime.  It’s not fussy or complicated like having people over for the holidays or Thanksgiving — everyone just piles into the back yard, breaks open a beer and snacks on yummy side dishes while you get your grill on.

A missed opportunity is often in the cocktail arena. Never underestimate how easy it is to impress your guests by handing them a frosty, alcoholic beverage the moment they arrive with the potato salad. Make up a batch of something delicious ahead of time — like Chuck’s Tequila Lemonade (above) — and all you have to do is pour and garnish.

After making lots of new friends in New York City, Pittsburgh and Boston, our Frozen Treats Truck is headed west!  The Midwest, that is…

Today we’re in Cleveland, handing out free scoops of Orange Blossom and Cream and Triple Berry-flavored ice creams from local producer Honey Hut.  If you’re in the area, come out and meet us!  We’ll be at the Wade Oval at University Circle, 4-9pm.

Seafood Dinners Aboard the Historic Mary A. Whalen

I had an unforgettable dining experience last weekend aboard the Mary A. Whalen, a retired tanker docked off the Brooklyn waterfront neighbordhood of Red Hook.

It was a perfect summer dinner party, dining atop the deck of a historic coastal oil tanker with salty smells of the seawater and the taste of fresh seafood.

Cooking Channel’s Frozen Treat Truck Tour Kicks Off

Cooking Channel is hitting the road again this summer to bring frosty, frozen treats to fans!

We’re touring the country in a tricked-out Frozen Treats Truck, to meet you and hear your Food Person stories.  Along the way, we’ll be joining forces with the most delicious, locally-based frozen-treat producers in your area to hand out tasty, refreshing frozen sweets.  Did we mention this is all for free?

The Frozen Treat Truck 2011 Tour kicks off today!  If you’re in the New York City area, swing by Chelsea Market from 1:00 to 6:00pm, and taste a specially-crafted blueberry gelato from favorite local producer, L’Arte del Gelato.  We will be there with special guests Rachael Ray, Ben Sargent, Nadia G and Kelsey Nixon.
