New York Taste: A World of Flavors

Cooking Channel’s Eden Eats wasn’t the inspiration for New York magazine’s 13th annual New York Taste: A World of Flavors presented by HSBC Premier, but it might as well have been. For one night only, more than forty of New York City’s hippest restaurants came together to present a truly global menu that spanned the map in taste, presentation and ingredients.

The spacious Skylight Soho was packed with eager guests sipping Spring44 cocktails and moving from station to station, sampling delicious bites. Chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster Harlem, Zak Pelaccio of Fatty Crab, Michael Lomonaco of Porter House New York and Dan Barber of Blue Hill were just a few of the all-star chefs in attendance.

I didn’t sample all of the foodie fare, but the plates I did were works of art.
