On Bobby Flay’s Basket of Brunch Goodies episode of Brunch @ Bobby’s (which you can watch in full here), Bobby cooks up a spread of American favorites like Shoo-Fly Muffins, Banana Bread with Vanilla Bean-Pecan Butter and homemade Fruit Filled Mini Toaster Pastries! Then he creates a one-of-a-kind bellini bar that is sure to impress any brunch guest.
There are several benefits to putting together a bellini bar if you’re hosting a continental brunch. They’re delicious and everyone will have fun making their own cocktails. Traditionally, the bellini is made with a white peach puree and topped with prosecco (it originated in Venice) but you can put any sparkling wine on ice and put out a variety of add-ins.

This week was Mardi Gras, and thousands of bourbon-imbued revelers paraded the streets of New Orleans, tossing beads about and scarfing King cake. For many, it’s a time to let it all hang out (not just figuratively) and party recklessly before Lent when they choose to give up decadence for 40 days.
But maybe you’re someone who doesn’t want to give up the allure of all that Mardi Gras has to offer. Maybe you want to experience the thrill of a Bourbon Street bash every day. You are in luck. Tune in to Brunch @ Bobby’s at 9:30pm ET to watch Bobby Flay pay tribute to America’s tastiest and most boisterous block with a brunch tribute to Bourbon Street. His menu includes crispy fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade, french toast topped with bananas foster and an icy cold coffee milk punch. You’ll confess it’s pretty delicious.

Bobby Flay stars as himself tonight on Portlandia‘s Brunch Special, attempting to make the perfect marionberry pancakes for Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and show director Jonathan Krisel (pictured above). We don’t know if he’ll pull it off and, since we’ll be watching Bobby on Iron Chef America on Cooking Channel during the same time slot, we may never know*.
That’s okay though, because we do know the secret to scoring a Bobby Flay brunch any time we want — follow his recipes from Brunch @ Bobby’s and make it at home. You don’t have to wait in any lines to enjoy his easy Silver Dollar Buttermilk-Pecan Pancakes with Bourbon Butter, or his Carrot Cake Pancakes with Maple-Cream Cheese Drizzle or his thirty-minute Orange Ricotta Pancakes with Caramelized Fig and Pistachio Compote. Just top one of his pancake recipes with marionberries and you’ll be living like Fred Armisen for a meal. S’cool with us.
Check out a clip from Portlandia’s Brunch Special — a Hearts of Darkness-type documentary about the making of their season finale — after the jump.
