We’re in peak grillin’ and chillin’ season, and the best way to get a party started is with an abundance of booze. Go ahead and spike the punch. It’s perfectly acceptable at an end-of-summer party — unlike when you’re at prom. Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite spiked-punch recipes.
Try the Sunrise Punch (pictured above) — a rum-based drink that is slightly creamy from coconut milk and stays ice-cold thanks to frozen pineapple and strawberries — and get more ideas for your party with our collections of fruity alcoholic drinks and our best summer cocktails.

On Sunday while your team is facing off in New Orleans (or perhaps waiting it out to try again next year), skip a pitcher of beer in favor of these classier cocktails. The Long Bar at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa passed along a few theme drinks to turn your party into an at-home cocktail smack down between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. So while you’re watching all the action go down in the Superdome, be sure to have a cocktail shaker on hand. Not a fan of either team? We too are equal opportunity cocktail drinkers, so sip away.

The holiday season evokes longings for warm spices, whether in pumpkin pie or hot mulled cider. Turn your attention to a unique way to get your spice fix: Alie and Georgia’s 5-Spice on Ice cocktail uses a blend of freshly crushed cloves, cinnamon, star anise, fennel and Sichuan peppercorns infused in a simple syrup. The cocktail also gets a kick of intricate flavors from spiced rum, Angostura bitters and a muddled kumquat. Finally the cocktail is topped with a splash of fernet, an aromatic spirit made from cardamom, chamomile and saffron. It all makes for a deeply spiced drink that will pique your taste buds.
Bottoms up, folks.

For those who are like me and could consume a bag of kettle corn in about two seconds, try this boozed-up, unconventional way to get your kettle corn fix.
This liquid gold from Alie and Georgia tastes just like the seductively buttery, salty caramel corn we crave. They start with bourbon, a corn-based whiskey, for a bit of smokiness, and then they add butterscotch schnapps and simple syrup infused with fresh kettle corn. To top it all off, a coupe glass is rimmed with a sugar and salt mixture to mimic the salty-sweet duo of kettle corn. Smoky, buttery, sweet and salty — it’s hard to go wrong with this perfect balance of flavors.
Bottoms up, folks.

Unless you’re from the country of Moldova (or know someone from there), chances are you don’t know exactly where it is on a map. This Eastern European nation lies tucked between Romania and Ukraine, where its picturesque countryside attracts visitors who come for its bucolic vibe — those who actually know its geographic location, that is. While many may know Moldova for its wine, this former Soviet republic also produces vodka, a remnant of being under Russian rule for almost two centuries. And Moldovan vodka (or “vodca,” as they spell it) is ready to introduce its creators’ country to America, one cocktail at a time.

Someone who proves him or herself as one of the world’s best athletes at the Olympics deserves to let loose. And while you’d think the best way to celebrate surviving two weeks of intense competition would involve hours of jacuzzi time followed by a two- to nine-month nap, a club in London feels otherwise.
The bar Chinawhite is handing out £2,012 cocktails to gold medal-winning Olympians instead. “The Golden Cocktail,” a mix of Hennessy Paradis Imperial Cognac and Luxor 24ct gold-leaf champagne, has several custom-made 18ct gold rings at the bottom of the glass. Though taking the edge off with a flavorful mix of booze is definitely our style, we prefer our cocktails to be a little more accessible. To that end, our own Classy Ladies Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark have invented an amazing cocktail based on another English tale of overcoming incredible odds. Watch them honor the dickens out of soda pop with their Grape Expectations Cocktail. Because everyone should be able to enjoy a weirdly innovative drink, regardless of their athletic prowess.
