Around the Cooking Channel and Food Network offices, everyone is gearing up for this weekend’s 7th annual New York City Wine & Food Festival, beginning tonight. For four days, NYC will be taken over by food industry innovators cooking, speaking and feeding folks at nearly 100 different events across the city. Our brazen editors will branch out, attempting to cover as much ground as possible to report back to you hungry Devour and FN Dish readers on the festival’s happenings.

Last week, I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Village Voice Choice Eats Annual Tasting in New York City. Featuring some of the best dishes from New York’s best chefs, the event took place at the 69th Regiment Armory and showcased the diverse and creative landscape of the city’s cuisine. From all-American classics like pulled pork sandwiches and sloppy joes to much fancier fare that included olive oil-filled chocolate bastoncinos and duck, pork and crawfish boudin, there was no shortage of variety.
While the leftovers have long since gone sour, there’s still plenty of food porn to feast your eyes on. Check out our favorite pics from the food fest.

See what we liked, what we didn’t like, and how to cook up South Beach-inspired fare in your own kitchen.
